The Secret

Ok, I might be behind on reading The Secret, but that's because I wasn't ready for it.  For two years now, I've invested in personal development books, videos, audio, and classes.  All of them have a different way of explaining the same things on how to have a fulfilling life.  The Secret is no different.  It was very refreshing to hear another way of how to achieve the things I want in life.  If you are looking for personal development resources, I would recommend these materials to start out.

This week, I will be getting ready for the Cow Palace dog show in Daly City.  I'm so excited!!!  Ready to be in the ring with my two beautiful Shiba Inu.  So if your in town to see the show, come swing by the Shiba Inu booth.  Kiyo will be relax at home while Kuma and Kyuubi are interacting with the public.

Getting Back Up

Not much to write for this week.  Been busy putting myself back together and falling backwards.  Starting this week I will start walking forward again.

I'm also starting to get ready for the Cow Palace show coming up in 2 weeks from yesterday.  It's going to be a fun show this year!

By the way, I'm not sure if I introduced you to our newest member, Tin Win the cat.  He came to me from work during the summer as a young kitten.  Tin Win became sick, so I took him in so he could recover.  Little did I know that Kyuubi and Kuma became close friends with him that I couldn't separate them.  He's now about 9mo. old and a handsome boy who stays in the backyard, sleeps with the dogs, and eats everything you give him to eat.  I love him very much.  He's a cool cat.

Preparing for the New Year

I hope everyone had a great New Years.  I know mine was bitter sweet since Kuma and Kyuubi are still at Palm Springs.  My friends told me that they both did well in the show but no wins....  Oh well there is always the next show.  I've already plotted out the shows that I will be attending to up until July.  Maybe we will have better luck at those shows.

While those two are at the show, I decided to bring over two puppies from work to the house.  My hubby-to-be wasn't very please when he found out, but he got over it.  These 6wk old Lab mixes needed some socialization with people.  Plus there wasn't much room for them at the shelter so it helped us out a bit.  They were great to have.  Tomorrow I will return them to the shelter so they have exposure to possible new families for them.  I wish these two well.

Today I was really busy on working on my goal setting notebook!  I'm so excited to have it completed and ready to go for the year.  This is also my to do list for the week.  I followed the method of a person I met this past summer.  It really does work if you take the time to do it.  This year I added picture that inspires me and gets me motivated on what I'm trying to achieve.  If you are interested in making your own, here's the link: http://eatyourcakeandcountyourchickens.com/2013/12/31/operation-goal-set-2014/ .  I highly recommend you try it out for a year and see how you like it.  Here's a picture of my goal notebook (Sorry about the lighting on the book. Its getting late.... ^-^;).

One Step At A Time

One week from the first post!  \(^ o ^)/  This is an accomplishment.  Now the next step is to follow through every week and make a new post.  I will be taking it one step at a time.  This also goes for the plans I have in store for myself.

I feel I need to work on my writing skills.  Most of my goals involve writing.  I had already purchase two well known books about the subject.  "The Elements of Style" by William Strunk Jr. and E.B. White, and "On Writing Well" by William Zinsser.  I could hardly say I actually read The Elements of Style.  More like skimming through the book. ( ^ _ ^;)  Anyways, I'm going to have to find that book and reread it.  Right now I started reading On Writing Well.  I also got the Audible for the book as well.  I find that if I read the book and listen to the audio version,  I pick up most of the material.  Plus new ideas form when I take it in this way.  It's actually fun! :)

After I accomplish this, the next step is to improve my websites.  Trust me, they really need an update.  Now you can see why I need to improve on my writing skills first.  After the websites are done, I can concentrate more on improving my skills as a breeder and as a dog trainer.  I can't wait to get to this point, but all in due time.

On top of everything I have my wedding to plan too.  It's taking a lot of my time and resources....  I can't wait until the big day comes!  Hopefully by then I've got most of my goals accomplish.

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!  And have a Happy New Years!  Please be safe! From Kiyo, Kuma, and Kyuubi. :D

Returning to Blogging

It's been awhile since I've written anything....  I need to work on making it a routine.  It's good to write to understand one's self better and what you are trying to achieve.  The bonus of having it online is that you have people that have the same interest join together, share ideas, and make things happen. :)

Currently, I'm working at my part-time job that I've been at for a 1yr and half.  A lot of great changes have happen there and it's only going to get better.  On top of that job, I've started to build up on my dog training business.  So far I have one client that is dealing with my achievements and my failures on how to organize myself wisely for this new job(especially since I'm my own boss and I'm tough to please).  I'm hoping by the beginning of summer I can have a few more clients and a pretty solid routine for that.  Just takes one step at a time.

Dog show world, we have some progress.  Kyuubi has one major on her and has turned 1yr old!  Kuma is now 2yrs old and has passed his OFA tests!  I've learn so much from these two dogs and my original Shiba Inu, Kiyo.  Right now we are just enjoying the first part of the holiday together.  Next week Kuma and Kyuubi will be joining my friends to the Palm Springs dog show in Indio.  A four day show and all majors!  I'm hoping that both of them might at least win one day.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to go due to wedding planning and saving for it.... That's going along ok and still have quiet a few things to do still.

Well, I will be back later and will try to make writing at least a weekly thing.  Until then, Merry Christmas!!!!  :D

It's That Time of Year Again....

BSA(Beikoku Shiba Inu Aikokai) show is this weekend!!!! Can't wait to go out there and see the dogs!  I'll be there with my three Shiba and taking pictures.  I was going to show Kyuubi at this show(it would be my first time showing in a NIPPO style show!)... but Kyuubi's NIPPO papers didn't come in on time to register her in the show....  Oh well, there's next year and I can look around for a good NIPPO male for her when she's old enough. ^-^

Well, I better get back to work so I can prepare for this weekend.

Here's the location of the show if your interested on going.  The show is March 9 and starts at 8am.
